Terms of service

1. Agreement

These terms form an agreement between you and One Door Technologies (SMC-Pvt) Ltd ("we", "us"), covering your use of BuildLedger through our website and mobile applications. By creating an account you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
• Give accurate details and keep them current.
• Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us promptly at support@onedoortech.com if you think someone else has access.
• You may add team members. You are responsible for what they do in your account.

3. Acceptable use

Do not:

• Break any law, or use the service to help someone else break one
• Try to access another customer's data, or probe our systems for weaknesses
• Upload anything malicious, or attempt to disrupt the service
• Copy, resell or white-label the service without our written agreement
• Use automated means to extract data at a scale that affects other customers
• Remove or obscure advertising in the free tier

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.

4. Your data

Your records remain yours. We claim no ownership over the purchases, payments, expenses or any other information you enter.

You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your data, display it back to you, back it up, and process it to provide the features you use.

You can export your records at any time, and delete your account whenever you want. See our privacy policy for what happens to data afterwards.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. BuildLedger calculates totals from your figures; it does not verify them.

5. Packages and payment

• The free package is genuinely free and has no time limit. It includes one project and shows advertising in our mobile apps.
• Paid packages are billed in advance for the period shown at purchase.
• Prices are in Pakistani Rupees unless stated otherwise, and exclude any taxes that may apply.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes never affect a period you have already paid for.
• If payment fails, we will attempt it again and tell you. Continued failure may lead to the account moving to the free package.

Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

6. Advertising

Our free mobile apps display advertising supplied by Google AdMob. By using the free tier you accept that ads will be shown. Any paid package removes them.

We do not control which specific ads appear and do not endorse them. What you do with an advertiser is between you and that advertiser.

7. Availability

We work to keep BuildLedger available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take it down for maintenance, and will give notice where we can.

We are not liable for interruptions caused by things outside our control, including your internet connection, your device, or failures at our hosting or network providers.

8. Our intellectual property

The software, design, name and logo of BuildLedger belong to us. These terms give you permission to use the service, not ownership of any part of it. Do not copy, decompile or create derivative works from it.

9. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties for hosting, email, SMS delivery, advertising and payment processing. Their own terms apply to their part, and we are not responsible for what they do.

10. Ending the agreement

• You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us.
• We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if payment fails repeatedly, or if we are required to by law.
• We may discontinue the service with at least 60 days' notice, and will give you a way to export your records first.

Export anything you want to keep before closing. After the period in our privacy policy, we cannot recover it.

11. Disclaimer

BuildLedger is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

BuildLedger is a record-keeping tool, not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. The figures it produces come from what you enter. Check them against your own records before relying on them for anything important.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost business or lost data.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to whichever is greater: the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or PKR 10,000.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Indemnity

You agree to cover us against claims arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For anything significant we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the product. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not, close your account.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rawalpindi.
